The VideoLAN non-profit organisation is happy to invite you to the multimedia open-source event of the end of summer!

For its fourth edition, people from the VideoLAN and open source multimedia community will meet in Paris, France to gather, work, discuss and meet, on the 1st and 2nd of September 2012.

This technical event is focused on technical discussions and decisions about multimedia, and is focused to a technical crowd.

Like the previous years, an important number of developers from x264, FFmpeg, Libav and KDE will join us! Developers, designers and anonymous people around VLC, DVBlast, VLMa, skin-designer or other multimedia projects will be there too.

Who can come?

Anyone that cares about open source multimedia.
If you are not a technical person, but an enthusiast, we recommend you to come to the less technical events, like in the evenings.

Where?

Friday

The beer event will take place at « Le dernier bar avant la fin du monde » starting at 6:30 PM.

Our dedicated room is named "singularity" and is located in the basement of the bar.

Saturday / Sunday

Technical events will be held at Institut Mines-Telecom (map).

Be careful to enter by the 49, rue Vergniaud entrance.

Cost and sponsorship

The cost for attendance is free.

Like previous years, active developers can get a full sponsorship covering all the costs for the venue.

FOMS

FOMS 2012 will take place just after the VDD, on the 3rd and 4th of september.
